Charities
The Institute of Art and Ideas (IaI) is committed to fostering a progressive and vibrant intellectual culture in the UK. We are a charitable, not-for-profit organisation engaged in changing the current cultural landscape through the pursuit and promotion of big ideas, boundary-pushing thinkers and challenging debates.
The ICR is led by Chief Executive Professor Kristian Helin, known for his pioneering scientific discoveries in cancer epigenetics. We are world leaders in identifying cancer genes, discovering cancer drugs and developing precision radiotherapy. As well as being a world-class research institute, the ICR is a higher education institution and a member institution of the University of London. We came second-top in the league table of university research quality, impact and environment compiled from the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021). The ICR has charitable status and relies on support from partner organisations, charities, donors and the general public.
'Making a difference for dogs' Since our foundation over 30 years ago, our aim has remained the same - to make a difference to the health and welfare of dogs by funding initiatives across the three categories of Science and Research, Support and Training, and Welfare and Rescue. Whether investing in research into breed-specific diseases, funding the training of medical support dogs, and providing vital monies to rescue organisations, we are there for all dogs, regardless of breed or background.

We have been providing support and services in Kent since 1989 and we do this in a variety of settings including, residential, supported living, day centres, respite and a free family support service.
