Housing

ADAPT is a charity that provides free recovery programmes to recovering addicts, as well as free safe, sober and clean housing and individual support from a team of fully qualified addiction counsellors. The charity provides move-on housing for those that complete the recovery programme, offering support as individuals look to build a new life. The charity has also developed a family programme, a response to the worsening crisis and its effects on families. The charity has seen an incremental rise in those reaching out needing help and has recently expanded to include additional housing to support those in need. Despite doing so, the charity remains inundated with referrals for people desperately in need of help – there is a lack of resource available to help all those that reach out.

We believe that peer support and the exchange of knowledge and experiences between adoptive parents is a crucial part of adoption support.
