Dementia Adventure is an award-winning charity with a vision for a more active and fulfilled life for everyone living with dementia.  Research shows that connection to nature and outoor activity has significant health and wellbeing benefits for people with dementia and we've proven that with the right support, it is possible to access those benefits in enjoyable ways.

We provide supported holidays, dementia training for family and friends and training for professionals and organisations.

We aim to deliver our holidays to as many people who need them as possible.  We set up the Dementia Adventure Support Fund to make sure this includes those who wouldn't be able to fund a break on their own.  The Fund can be used to contribute towards the cost of a holiday itself or towards something that is creating a barrier to someone taking a holiday, like transport or appropriate clothing.  You can find out more at http://www.dementiaadventure.org.

Community
Depaul UK helps young people who are homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged. We are passionate about what we do, working in the very heart of local communities. We protect young people who become homeless by finding them a place to call their home. Each year we provide over 100,000 bed nights and we are open every day and night. We prevent young people from being homeless by rebuilding family relationships and offering through the gate support to young offenders. We provide young people with the chance to fulfil their potential in the community through education, volunteering, training and jobs. Since we started in 1989, we've made a difference to over 45,000 young people.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is one of 47 local Wildlife Trusts around the UK working to promote and protect local wildlife. It covers the whole of Derbyshire and was founded in 1962 in response to environmental threats to the local countryside, since when it has continued to grow. The Trust is based at Middleton by Wirksworth, on the edge of the Peak District. It is a Registered Charity (Number 222212), supported by more than 14,000 members and over 500 volunteers.[1] The Trust manages nearly 50 Nature Reserves covering over 630 hectares (1,600 acres) throughout the county, from flooded gravel pits in the south to moorland and upland woodland in the north. Fourteen of these are Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). The Trust also works with schools, local communities, local authorities, landowners and others to promote and protect the natural environment. Environmental education and workshops are provided at the Avenue Washlands Visitor Centre, the Whistlestop Centre, and the Wildlife Discovery Room at Carsington Water. Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has a 'Living Landscape' approach to nature conservation. By working with local businesses, landowners, communities and individuals on habitat restoration and enhancement projects throughout the county, it is hoped landscape scale conservation will create a healthier environment for wildlife, the local economy and people.

Every day of the year, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. Within minutes they can be on the ground delivering lifesaving care. The air ambulance gives people the very best chance of survival and recovery. We are supported by a Critical Care Car meaning that we can reach those who need us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding and we rely entirely on donations to raise the £1,700 we need for each mission. Find out more at theairambulanceservice.org.uk
