British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) is the UK membership body for organisations working in international development or supporting those that do through funding, research, training and other services. Established in 1993, we now have over 450 members ranging from large agencies with a world-wide presence to smaller, specialist organisations. We promote, support, represent and on occasion lead the work and interests of UK international development organisations, united by a common goal to eradicate global poverty. We work to influence governments and policy-makers, develop the skills of people in the sector, build organisational capacity and effectiveness and provide opportunities to exchange information, knowledge and expertise.
We are a community centre, serving both the young and elders, with toddler groups, toy library, elders coffee mornings, community cafe etc. Further information is available on our website.
You could work with us to help children develop the reading skills and confidence they need for a fair chance in life. To become confident adults. To build a better future. Bookmark is a young charity with a fresh approach. Our innovative, cost-effective digital platform matches schools with safeguarded, vetted and trained reading volunteers.
BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. Each year we reach 2.5 million children across the UK with books, resources and support to help develop a love of reading, because we know that reading can transform lives.
Borderline Support UK is the only national non-profit dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals and families in the UK who have been affected by borderline personality disorder. We want to see everyone affected by BPD receive appropriate support and treatment, allowing them to live their lives to the fullest. At the heart of what we do is compassion and empathy – supporting you, providing information and access to local services, and empowering you towards wellness and recovery. But we also want to see change happen, we want to see better treatment options for people with BPD across the UK. We want to advocate for you, sharing your stories and experiences with decision makers, in the hopes of getting better healthcare options for people when they need it the most.
