Winchester Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care to adults with life-limiting illness who live in Winchester and surrounding villages. Our dedicated team is here to support patients to live a life as full as possible in an environment that enhances well-being, privacy, and care. At Winchester Hospice, every moment matters.
Winchester Radio is a volunteer-led, community-driven, dementia-friendly, national-awards-winning charity, dedicated to supporting the older generation, taking an holistic approach to positive ageing, reducing loneliness, and improving health, especially amongst the socially-isolated and digitally excluded. We provide a community radio service to Winchester and the surrounding area on 94.7FM and DAB digital radio, as well as online, and thehospital radio service at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Winston's Wish is the UK's first childhood bereavement charity and have been supporting grieving children and young people since 1992. We provide specialist bereavement support services to children and young adults (up to 25), those who care for them and professional bodies across the UK.
Wirral Hospice has been providing FREE care for adult patients with life-limiting illnesses. We also support carers and loved ones who are are at the heart of everything we do. Although some NHS funding is received, the majority of our income is donated by individuals, families, groups, companies and charitable trusts. Every penny counts and helps us to make a real difference to the specialist care we provide for our patients and those important to them.
Womankind Worldwide is a global women's rights organisation working in solidarity and equal partnership with women's rights organisations and movements to transform the lives of women.
Our vision is of a just world where where the rights of all women are respected, valued and realised.
We work to support and strengthen women's movements to change the world for women. Our small team is based in the UK and we work in partnership with women's rights organisations and movements primarily in Africa and Asia. Our current focus countries are Ethiopia, Kenya, Nepal, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
We also advocate for governments and international agencies to protect and promote women's rights through our policy and campaigns work.
Women's Aid is the national charity working to end domestic violence against women and children. Women's Aid co-ordinates and supports an England-wide network over 300 local domestic violence organisations, providing over 500 local reguges, outreach services and advice services.
