Community
Building stronger communities through the power of volunteering We’re on a mission to create a brighter future for communities across the UK by harnessing the power of volunteering. We are delivering 156 projects that are designed by communities, for communities. We are 8,652 volunteers reducing social isolation, improving mental and physical health, building essential skills, and supporting individuals to lead change. Not only do we support individuals to volunteer, but we also collaborate with organisations to design straightforward, effective, and impactful employee volunteering opportunities. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we believe stronger communities are the key.

Animals
The sanctuary rescues and provides a home for many types of unwanted animals, especially primates, such as chimpanzees, gibbons, baboons, spider monkeys, vervets, capuchins, tamarins, macaques and marmosets. Although we specialise in the care and protection of primates we cannot stand by and see other animals in need of help. You will therefore find meerkats, lemurs, serval cats, wolf dogs, horses, donkeys, red foxes, pigs, african grey parrots, highland cows and others at our sanctuary. All are equally important members of our extended family. We are open to the public 7 days per week.
