Visually Impaired Bowls England is the recognised authority on Lawn Bowls for the Visually Impaired in England, working in partnership with Bowls England and the English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd. VIBE offers support and advice to individuals and bowls clubs in order to promote the participation and inclusion of players with a visual impairment. We organise national competitions and select England teams for UK VIB Internationals, Friendly VI Internationals and IBBA World Blind Bowls Championships. We receive no external funding whatever and are totally reliant on what we can raise through our own endeavours. VIBE is run entirely by volunteers and all our Members self-fund their participation - even at International level - but, as a charitable organisation, we seek to subsidise members' costs within our financial constraints. Potential sponsors and/or donors are invited to contact us by telephone, email or via the enquiry form on our website: www.vibowlsengland.co.uk.
VSO promotes volunteering to fight global poverty and disadvantage. We bring people together to share skills, creativity and learning to build a fairer world.
The sanctuary rescues and provides a home for many types of unwanted animals, especially primates, such as chimpanzees, gibbons, baboons, spider monkeys, vervets, capuchins, tamarins, macaques and marmosets. Although we specialise in the care and protection of primates we cannot stand by and see other animals in need of help. You will therefore find meerkats, lemurs, serval cats, wolf dogs, horses, donkeys, red foxes, pigs, african grey parrots, highland cows and others at our sanctuary. All are equally important members of our extended family. We are open to the public 7 days per week.
